avatar is ending! TT-TT which is weird cuz in all the time that it was on air, this is the first time i've ever tried drawing something like this. heh irony.

this pic is mostly based off of the NYCC trailer. so...if you don't wanna be spoiled....too late XD

toph diamond bending, that's definitely not in the trailer and most likely not in the finale, but i just thought it'd look awesome, i don't know why. and those actually don't even look like diamonds, maybe crystals of some sort, but you get the idea.

ursa: i don't know if she has anything to do with the white lotus society or even if she'll come back as a character on the show. i think that'd be the shit, but w/e we'll see.

yes, aang is in the avatar state. if you're a a zutarian, you'll say that he got there by letting go of katara and that he's looking back on zutara while going into the state. if you're a kataanger you'll say he's about to open a can of asswhoping on zuko with the avatar state. eh, take your pick. (but really, it's neither lol.)

so why that zutara scene? because if katara doesn't catch zuko when he's falling into that bottomless pit, i'll scream like a little girl.

poor suki, i completely butchered her martial arts coolness. i can't draw action poses for crap.

sokka's trying to be the smex. but i don't think he has to try very hard.

azula scared my own mother. she saw me drawing her and was like holy %@#$! she looks like she's about to murder someone. yes.

ozai is in his phoenix lord get-up. and i've gotta say my favorite part about him is his sexy long hair. ozai pwns.

most difficult to draw: zuko. i still don't think i got him right. easiest to draw: azula. her demonic nature haunts you.

one more thing, in case you can't tell, that's sozin's comet in the bg. yup yup. *and yes, i know about the stinkin "spoilers" that have infested DA and the rest of the internet like a plague. don't mention their evil ways.

side note: i was going to put a bunch of watermarks over this, but then decided to be nice and hide them in the corners, however! this did take me a long time (approx 40 hrs) so i'll ask that it's not distributed or used in some illegal way. thanks XD

EDIT holy crap, Nick just announced a fan art competition of the Avatar finale poster and guess who just entered? haha. i don't expect to win anything, but it's still cool to know. i've never entered a contest before so yay! lmfao just the thought made me happy (Bryke will actually see this, that's awesome enough!)

EDIT II nope, i didn't win, but that's okay because this wasn't intended for the contest in the first place. and in a way, it's a good thing since i'm not an avatar fanartist, just an artist who happened to draw avatar fanart at the last minute lol. so that's fair ^^
